Five checks before you shortlist CSRD software after the Omnibus changes

Scope has shrunk and standards are being revised. Our short checklist for choosing reporting software that will still fit in two years.

Our own checklist, written for buyers.

  1. Confirm you are still in scope. Compare your employees and turnover with the new thresholds before paying for a full CSRD suite.
  2. Ask how the tool handles revised ESRS. Look for versioned data points, not a fixed template.
  3. Check framework mapping. If you also report to ISSB, GRI or CDP, one data set should feed all of them.
  4. Ask about the voluntary standard for smaller companies. If your customers will request data from you, you may need a lighter output.
  5. Read the reviews and ask for audit support. Limited assurance is coming for many reporters, so check that you can export an audit trail.

Use the compare tool to line providers up side by side.
